The Virginia Network is pleased to present its annual state conference at Richmond Marriott in Richmond, Virginia on Friday, June 1, 2012. The conference theme is Connect, Discover, Empower: Finding Strength and Unity Through Diversity. The conference features a panel of college presidents: Linda Thomas-Glover, President Eastern Shore Community College and Dorothy Cower Yancy, President Shaw University. The breakout sessions cover a wide range of topics and speakers and panelists from across the state. We are especially grateful to Nakeina Douglas of Virginia Commonwealth University who chaired the planning committee and put together such an exciting array of sessions and speakers.

NEWSLETTER
The spring 2012 Virginia Network Newsletter is now available and updates you on the year’s activities, plus all of the educational and informative sessions we’ve planned for the annual conference. It is the 4th Women of Color Conference with a theme that embraces the inclusiveness of all women. We have two new women presidents! And, check out the “Kudos Corner” where we celebrate the accomplishments of one of our women leaders. It’s a good read. I’ll see you at the conference.
